I am a MASH Junior research group leader at the Department of Art History, Masaryk University, where I head the research group “Remote Access: Understanding Art from the Distant Past”.

I am the guest editor (together with Ancuta Mortu and Mark Windsor) of the British Journal of Aesthetics’s 2024 Special Issue on ‘Remote Art’. See the CFP here.

Previously, I was a NOMIS fellow at eikones – Center for the Theory and History of the Image, University of Basel. Before that, I spent five years at Freie Universität Berlin, first as a postdoctoral fellow at the Dahlem Humanities Center, and then as a a DFG research fellow at the Institut für Philosophie. I completed my PhD at the Department of Aesthetics, Charles University, Prague, in 2014.
