Jakub Stejskal

I am an aesthetician with a deep interest in the history, archaeology, and anthropology of visual art. I am also an associate editor of the academic journal Estetika.

I am an assistant professor at the Department of Art History and Theory, Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT), where I teach courses on aesthetics, art theory, and academic writing.

Before joining FFA BUT, I held various research positions at Masaryk University, University of Basel, and Freie Universität Berlin. I completed my PhD at the Department of Aesthetics, Charles University, Prague, in 2014.

My surname is pronounced “Stay-skull”.
